Sam-Dora: Review on Coastal Scents Eyeshadows and Make-Up Brushes

 The festive season is arriving and most ladies would be involved in dinner and dance, gala dinners, new year functions etc etc. Soon ladies would be really conscious of their appearance – what clothing to wear, what bags to carry… Last but not least, cosmetic products come into the limelight whenever ladies have to attend such events. Cosmetics are a double-edged sword – they can either enhance a lady’s beauty or might end up in a complete fiasco.

To elaborate further, Da Rabbit shall show you the characteristics of a crappy eyeshadow palette.

From the photos below, you can see that the eyeshadow colours do not show on my hand except for the darker shades like black and dark purple. Further to that, the dark purple looked brownish on my skin although it looked good in the palette itself. The shimmers / glitters of the lighter colours are too rough and big which makes the entire eye make-up rather unnatural 🙁 Moreover, each palette costs about S$20 when I bought them from Watsons.

I think… Its time to chuck them into the bin…

In addition, the normal eyeshadow palettes we see from drugstores do not offer a variety of colours for us to choose from. As most ladies have a closet bursting with clothing of different colours, an eyeshadow palette of only 4-5 colours is definitely too pathetic to match the clothing we wear. This world is made colourful and vibrant for a certain reason… Do not live in a dull world that consist of black and white!

Also, even branded cosmetic brands like Mac do not offer a huge variety of eyeshadow colours in a single palette – this means you have to buy many different palettes to satisfy your needs. And.. Mac cosmetics are not cheap!

As you can see, the colours are highly pigmented. It only takes 2 applications to achieve the result and the colours can last on your eyes for an entire day if you use an eyeshadow primer prior to application.

Da Rabbit is usually very lazy to use brushes for her make-up and hence she relies on her fingers to do the job. This is one of Da Rabbit’s favourite daily look created with her fingers
