Also, for egg connoisseurs, you can choose to eat your eggs it many different ways – baked, boiled, fried, poached, scrambled… You name it, they’ll deliver it 🙂

Holland Village is a whimsical place which houses many eateries and cafés. Hence we were here for the THIRD time to do some Caféhopping 🙂

Le’ Ambience

Located in the midst of shophouses, HATCHED’s layout simply do not fit into the nostalgic elements of the shophouses. Instead, HATCHED stood individually by itself and glowed in its warm lightings. 

The place is well-decorated, unlike the minimalist design of most cafés.

What we like about the décor is the dangling light bulbs which remind us of the incubator used by farms to hatch chicks from their eggs.

Even the counter area was decorated with adorable figurines and displays.

The selection is really huge judging that the focus is mainly on egg-dishes. This is indeed the haven for egg lovers!!!

The Iced Rose Latte tasted pretty normal and I would personally recommend the Iced Rose Latte served by Chock Full of Beans instead. 

Sir Benedict (SGD19++)

HATCHED’s own spin on the classic Eggs Benedict. Enjoy half an English muffin, topped with Smoked Ham, Streaky Bacon, Poached Egg and Hollandaise Sauce, served with Homemade Mash.

Needless to say, this was one of the best Eggs Benedict ever tasted thus far ♥~

The portion is sufficient judging that we ordered 2 poached eggs to share.

We love the sensation of having the warm mixture of butter and egg yolk running down our throat.. 

The poached eggs were prepared impeccably and we enjoyed eating them lots!

Leaving the BEST for the LAST ~ Runny Egg Yolks!!!!

Chunky Steak Fries Smothered with Cheese Sauce, Sour Cream, Jalapeños and bacon bits. Perfect for sharing!

Yup, as suggested, the portion is really big and hence is perfect for sharing with a group of friends. Since I was sharing this with only Kriston, we sort of gave up finishing the fries as it was simply too filling despite the taste being good…

Our bill added up to be a grand total of SGD44.75 after including the 7% GST and 10% Service Charge. Considered to be on the steep side judging that we only ordered a main course which is Sir Benedict…

Overall

We will definitely patronise this café again for their marvellous Eggs but perhaps we’ll go for plain water next time round!
