Have you ever seen Cornell Hello Kitty Kitchen and Home Appliances at departmental stores and wonder how practical are they in terms of daily usage?

How nice it would be if these appliances are fully functional and add a tinge of cuteness to your house right?

 We attended the Cornell‘s Hello Kitty Event hosted by Nigiro Café for the new launch of their Rice Cooker!

Oh dear, this is indeed CUTENESS OVERLOAD!!

Cooking Demonstration by Chef of Nigiro Café

We were shown how the Kitty Mom’s Apple Pie was prepared using Hello Kitty Sandwich Maker (CSMHK503).

Kitty Mom’s Apple Pie

Recipe c/o Nigiro Café

Kitty Mom’s Apple Pie

Ingredients (1 Serving):

– Apple 2 pc

– Butter 20g

– Sugar 50g

– Lemon Juice 15ml

– Cinnamon Powder

– Frozen Pie Sheet

– Melted Butter

Method:

– Defrost the pie sheet

– Preheat Sandwich Maker

– Cut apples into small cubes

– Stir-fry apples and sugar on a frying pan greased with some butter

– Add Lemon Juice and stir-fry till apples become transparent

– Allow apple cubes to cool down before mixing with cinnamon

Place the Pie Sheet onto the greased sandwich maker

– Brush Sandwich Maker with Melted Butter and add the apple cubes

Spreading out the apple cubes onto the pie sheet in the Sandwich Maker

– Spread out the apple cubes and press

– Allow to cook for 15 minutes

Le’ Moment of Truth…

– Garnish with Vanilla Icing or Fruits

Aww I’m so loving the Hello Kitty motif on the Pie!!! (It looks like a toasted bread though) 😡

Kitty Cream Stew c/w Steamed Rice

 We were not shown how to make this but I will still share the recipe with you guys 🙂

Ingredients (Serves 4 pax):

– Chicken Leg 300g

– Onion 2pc

– Potato 3pc

– Broccoli 100g

– Olive Oil 10g

– Butter 80g

– Flour 30g

– Milk 300ml

– Water 200ml

– White Wine 80ml

– Chopped Garlic 10g

– Chicken Stock Cube 15g

– Salt and Pepper

– Bay Leaves 3pc

– Rice

– Red Bell Pepper (Ribbon)

– Yellow Pepper (Nose)

– Japanese Seaweed Paper (Eyes and Beard)

Method:

– Drizzle Olive Oil onto frying pan and add garlic

– Add Chicken, Pepper and Salt once you smelt the fragrance from garlic

– Add White Wine

– Add carrot, onion and potato when the chicken is about 60% cooked. Stir Fry the ingredients. When the ingredients are almost cooked, add butter

– When onions turn transparent, turn off the fire and add flour

– Stir well, add milk, water and chicken stock cube. Garnish with Bay Leaves

– Cook atop a slow fire till soup thickens

 What more? Besides cooking rice, there is also a top tray for you to steam veggies whilst cooking rice! Also, it comes with a Stencil for you to sprinkle your garnishing onto the rice to create the cute Kitty motif!
