#RabbitMuffin Church Wedding Preparation
In remembrance of our 1 year wedding anniversary, I will be doing a series of throwback posts related to our wedding last year as I simply couldn’t find time to settle down to blog about it earlier. Before I share with you my church wedding preparation process, I would want to share with you the photos which we have taken during my engagement at the Registry of Marriage (ROM) earlier on 10 October 2014.

Church Wedding Preparation
Our wedding is being split into 2 parts – the church wedding on 12 April 2015 and wedding banquet reception at Marina Bay Sands on 19 April 2015. We did the split so that it would be less hectic for our aging parents.
This post will be covering on our Church Wedding Preparation.
Buffet Catering for Church Wedding on 12 April 2015
Part of our church wedding preparation is to find a good caterer for our lunch reception.
It didn’t take us long to decide on which caterer to use as we all we wanted is to provide palatable food to our guests affordably.
We chose Angeli Catering Services Pte Ltd because we have tried their buffet during our corporate events and hence had faith in their food quality.

Bridal Studio
We did not take very long to find the bridal studio to rent our wedding garments because we had restrictions on what we can wear for the church wedding. As our church is very conservative, wedding gowns should not be too revealing and hence Digio Bridal fits our criteria fully.
We managed to get further referral discounts for our bridal package as Sweetie Muffin’s friends engaged Digio Bridal for their wedding earlier that year.

I chose a feminine gown with lace details for my church wedding. Hence we finalised on the below design and got the bridal studio to help us sew on cap sleeves so that it fulfils my church’s guidelines.
I tried on a few more gowns for my banquet reception as well – will be featuring them on a separate blog post.
Wedding Invites and Wedding Cakes
Our church wedding preparation includes getting our invites printed out as my parents specially requested for invites to be distributed out to our relatives.
We had 2 sets of wedding invites printed for our church wedding and banquet reception.
As Marina Bay Sands is using American Wedding Treasures for the invitation cards and printing services, we conveniently used them to print our church invites by topping up a little.

Our Church Wedding Invites and Bengawan Solo Cake Vouchers |
As our parents ain’t very particular about wedding pastries, we took the easy way out by opting for Bengawan Solo Vouchers instead. The pros of opting for vouchers are:
- Increased convenience as we do not need to collect the physical cakes ourselves
- We do not need to hand deliver the cakes to our relatives as per the Chinese custom
- Provides flexibility for our relatives as they can collect the cakes from any Bengawan Solo outlets anytime within the timeframe provided
As there are over 38 Bengawan Solo outlets islandwide, it is very convenient for our relatives to redeem the vouchers at their desired time.

Wedding Shoes
As I foresee myself being required to walk around throughout the church wedding, comfort is my priority when it comes to shoes selection.
This pair of Silver Lace Platform with Diamond Brooch (SGD89.90) was gifted by Anjo Shoes Singapore during my church wedding preparation. They are super lightweight and comfy as there is a platform in front.
I found out that their shoes are manufactured by the same factory as Charles and Keith just that their designs are a lot more wearable and comfy.

Looking Back
Looking back, I guess I was a very chill person who hates to organise events. Hence I did not do anything fanciful for my wedding at all besides getting the basic stuff settled.
If given a second chance (and A LOT more budget), perhaps I would engage a wedding planner to plan my dream fairytale wedding in full scale *Muahahaha*
Guess I have matured over the years as my expectations dropped from having a prince charming to a Sweetie Muffin. A super grand fairytale wedding befitting of a princess to a simple wedding that is hassle-free.
Wedding is just a day, marriage is for a lifetime. I would rather invest my time and finances in beautifying my own home than throwing all the money in a lavish wedding which serves no purpose.
Not sure if most ladies agree with me but I guess I’ve become more pragmatic as I age :p
