Recipe Sharing: How I make my Overnight Oats
Overnight oats is one of my favourite breakfast option as it is so fuss-free and easy to make! I would strongly recommend overnight oats to those who are on a diet or looking to eat clean and lazy people like myself who doesn’t like to prepare breakfast in the morning…
I always find it very difficult to crawl of of bed every morning and hence Overnight Oats became my “go-to” breakfast after I got married 😀
Ingredients
– Quick Cook Oatmeal (You can get any brand from your local supermarket)
– Greek Yoghurt
– Milk (If you are sensitive to dairy products, you may opt for almond milk or soy milk)
– Honey (I recommend you to get pure honey i.e. unsweetened as honey is naturally sweet)
– Fresh Fruits of your choice, cut into small chunks (I chose melon in this case)
– Optional Toppings i.e. Chia Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Raisins
– Mason Jar
I opted for Chia Seeds from Super Life Co. as topping as Chia Seeds makes you feel fuller for a longer period and I got the sample packet from a media event earlier 😀 |
Method
1. Pour in some Oats into a clean mason jar
2. Pour some milk on the oats
3. Pour some yoghurt into the jar
4. Add a layer of fresh fruits
5. Repeat steps 1-4 till satisfied (optional)
6. Sprinkle your toppings + Honey
7. Seal the mason jar and leave in the fridge to chill overnight
8. Eat your Overnight Oats in the next morning with a smile 🙂
