aving a fast-paced life shouldn’t be an excuse for us not to have ample time to shop.  In fact there are many mobile applications in the market which enables us to shop and purchase stuff on the go. I have reviewed about 65Daigou‘s services earlier in my previous post, now I will be touching on their mobile app and also Taobao‘s Annual Event – Double 11s Sale 🙂

Taobao Annual Event: Double 11s Sale (双 11)

– 11 November –

 Similar to our GSS (Great Singapore Sales), Taobao host their annual sales event on 11 November annually
whereby consumers can purchase their items at huge discounted prices ~
that was the time when I purchased my furniture last year and made a
great deal out of it 🙂

What’s in my Shopping Cart currently 🙂

What I will normally do is to shop on Taobao and copy the links into my cart in 65Daigou
so that they will not be lost when I need to purchase them on 11
November itself.  Also, I’ll just dump all my desired items into the
cart so that I can review them in the latter to ensure that I am not
buying stuff on impulse – I can always eliminate unwanted items from my
cart if I decide not to get them anyways.

Oh
yes, it would be wise to paste a few links of the same product and
their alternatives so that you can compare the discounted prices on the
day itself. Do ensure that the item options (i.e. size, colour etc) are
in order before adding them in your cart.

Another tip would be to state “1111 sales” under your order remarks so that your orders get prioritised on 11 November.

In
addition, it will be good to top-up in advance so that your account
will not run short of credit balance when you are placing your order as 65Daigou only process your orders when you have sufficient prepay balances in your account!

In case you are encountering any difficulties in placing your order for this event, you can always call 65Daigou‘s hotline @ 6567 8880 (operating from Mon – Sat, 10:00 – 18:00 ) or use their Online Chat function on their website.

65Daigou recommends ordering products around Shanghai so as to reduce the chances of being delayed by China domestic couriers.

The 65Daigou Mobile App enables you to browse featured items on your mobile whilst you are on the go but I would still prefer viewing the items on my computer screen as it is larger 🙂

What I love about the 65Daigou Mobile App is that I can check the status of my online purchases and even chat with the staff regarding my order. 

For instance, I am customising an iPhone casing for my new iPhone 6s. I ordered a casing which contains some fluid in it and it cannot be shipped via normal air and hence the staff messaged me to check if it is OK if they ship it via other possible means instead.

What the app allows me to do is to reply to the staff’s message immediately (so as to prevent unnecessary delay in my order processing).

Same goes for items that are out of stock.

Oh, also this app informs me when my orders have arrived Singapore and I can simply submit my parcel for delivery directly without the hassle of switching on my PC!

These iPhone cases are of very good quality and I was super impressed that the seller packaged them in sturdy tin boxes with cute Kitty monograms!

They come in 2 versions – the hard acrylic version which is highly glossy and looks like real marble, and the soft PU version which acts as a good bumper but the surface is matte.

Bedroom Furnishings

No matter how hard I searched, I can never find my ideal Victorian furnishing. Even if I did, they would be exorbitant because they are imported from Europe.

Hence I took the risk and ordered the 2 most bulky items for my Master Bedroom – Chest of Drawers and Dressing Table.

When I ordered the dressing table, the staff from 65Daigou warned me about purchasing fragile items as the Mirror is highly fragile but I insisted on shipping it over because I couldn’t find a better substitute locally. Hence I topped up approx SGD20 to customise a wooden frame to protect the mirror from breakage when it gets shipped over from China. I was totally grateful to 65Daigou for handling my fragile mirror with great care, if not I might be cursed with 7 years’ of bad luck :p

Dressing Table

The furniture was shipped over in loose pieces and the hubby made HELL lots of noise whilst assembling my drawers and table — after all he wasn’t cut out to do manual chores.

Oh yes, all these bulky items were delivered right to my doorstep at a nominal SGD5 delivery fee!

 

Chest of Drawers

How I wished 65Daigou can provide us with Furniture Assembling services as well! I don’t mind paying extra for it rather than let the hubs nag over it. His face was thunder black with frustration throughout the assembling process 🙁

Assembling the furniture was so tedious that we took a 3 days to complete it.

We assembled the frame for the drawers after a few rounds of trial and error…

But… The results were worthwhile and we had a sense of pride that we actually built our HOME with our bare hands!
