Combination / Normal Skin can be frustrating to deal with especially when the facial area consists of a mixture of oily and dry skin. Hence I will be sharing 3 DIY Facial Masks for Combination / Normal Skin that will help improve your skin complexion. 



#1 Yoghurt & Egg White Facial Mask for Firm and Rejuvenated Skin

Benefits:

Yoghurt

  • Contains Lactic Acid which helps to dissolve dead skin cells for a gentle exfoliation to make your skin glow. It helps to prevent breakouts and diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well
  • Moisturizes skin
  • Relieves Sunburn
  • Reduce Discoloration

Egg White

  • Rich in protein and Albumin that have skin toning properties to promote supple skin
  • Tightens and Shrinks Large pores
  • Lifts Skin
  • Removes excess sebum from skin
  • Fights off and prevents acne & acne scars
  • Gets rid of Blackheads
  • Reduces puffiness under the eyes

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tablespoon Yoghurt
  • 1 Egg White

How To:

  • Mix the ingredients thoroughly in a small mixing bowl
  • Apply the mixture onto face, avoiding the eye and mouth area and allow to sit for 10-15 minutes
  • When mask is completely dried up, rinse off with warm water first then followed by cool water to close up the pores
  • Pat dry

Tips:

  • Steam your face to open up your pores to aid in deeper penetration of the mask’s nutrients
  • Always use plain, unsweetened and unflavored yoghurt on skin to prevent irritation
  • Apply the mask over the your sink to prevent drippy mess on the floor

Oatmeal

  • Contain Polysaccharides which become gelatinous in water which helps to combat skin dullness and dryness
  • Forms a thin protective film when applied on skin
  • Helps soothe dry skin symptoms like itching, rashes, scales and peeling etc

Lemon

  • Has natural antibacterial properties to heal acne
  • Contains Citric Acid which acts as a gentle “skin peel” for a gentle exfoliation

Ingredients:

  • 3 Tablespoons of Oatmeal
  • ½ Lemon Juice

How To:

  • Place Oats in a small bowl and add some hot water to create a paste
  • Add the lemon juice slowly whilst stirring the ingredients to obtain a smooth consistency
  • Apply the mixture onto cleansed skin and leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing off

Ingredients:

  • ½ Cucumber
  • 2 Tablespoons of Plain Yoghurt

How To:

  • Cut the cucumber into cubes and purée it with a blender / food processor
  • Add Plain Yoghurt and stir well to make a smooth consistency
  • Apply the mask onto face and let it sit for 20 minutes before rinsing it off
